How we build the rate
How we build the rate
Every rate on this site is the average of the reference sites of the Argentine market, minus the values that stray from the rest. No single source decides the number: we read all of them, drop the ones that sit apart and average the others. The value you see is the best indication of the market at that moment, not one dealer's price.
The sources
- DolarApi
- every dollar rate and the official euro, with an update time
- Ámbito
- the reference the press quotes: every rate and both euros
- CriptoYa
- blue, official, card, wholesale, MEP and CCL via the AL30 bond, and USDT
- Bluelytics
- blue, official and euros
- ArgentinaDatos
- the daily archive since 2011 behind the history pages
The average
For every rate, and separately for buy and sell, we take each source's value, drop the ones farthest from the rest (with four sources, one; with more, two) and average what is left. Under the numbers the page says how many sources went into the average and which one was dropped that day. When the remaining sources still sit far apart, as they do for the euro, the page says so rather than hiding it.
The cadence
We update every hour from 10:00 to 19:00 Buenos Aires time on business days. At weekends and on public holidays the last close is shown.
The archive
The history pages take the daily closes from ArgentinaDatos since January 2011 and complete them with our own daily readings. There is no public archive for the euro: its series starts on the day this site went live, in September 2026.
What we do not do
We do not buy or sell currency, do not recommend dealers or exchanges and do not give financial advice.
